EAST PEORIA, Ill. — The No. 4 seed Lewis women’s volleyball team defeated the No. 3 seed Rockhurst, 3-1, to capture the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament Championship, at Eastside Centre Saturday (Nov. 12).

FIRST SET: Rockhurst 25, Lewis 21
- The first set started with both teams scoring four points in a row which made it 4-all.
- Lewis scored three in a row which was started by a kill by Taki.
- Rockhurst rallied for five straight points after it was tied at 8-8.
- The Hawks led 19-11 late in the set before Lewis looked for another rally scoring seven straight after two straight kills from Van Loo made it 19-18 RU.
- Stefanski picked up a kill to make it 23-21 Rockhurst then the Hawks picked up two straight to win the set 25-21.
