Dr Khaled Al-Zughaibi, President of Saudi Arabian Volleyball Federation, and in the presence of Members of the Board of Directors, crowned the Gulf team with the Federation Cup and gold medals after achieving first place in the tournament, and President of the Gulf Club, Engineer Alaa Al-Hamal.
The Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Arabian Volleyball Federation, Saad Al-Ruwais, and Abdul Mohsen Al-Obaid, Member of the Federation, presented silver medals to “Al-Ittihad Club,” for finishing second place
Members of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Arabian Volleyball Federation, Mohammed Al-Faqih and Ibrahim Al-Ibrahim, and Executive Director of Al-Nasr Foundation, Abdullah Al-Shabib, crowned “Al-Hilal Club” in third place and bronze medals.
The closing day witnessed the presence of a large and distinguished crowd of supporters of the Gulf team, who celebrated with their team achieving the title for the first time in the history of its participation in the game of volleyball. Gulf deserved the Cup in recognition of the superb performance it presented in the tournament.
The results of the last round resulted in Al-Khaleej’s 3-1 (25-20, 25-27, 25-21, 25-20) victory over Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad’s 3-0 (25-18, 25-22, 25-20) win against Al-Ibtisam which saw Gulf emerge as the champions with a total of 9 points. Al-lttihad had 6 points to come in second place, with Al-Hilal Club in third position.
The final match between Al-Khaleej and Al-Hilal was led by international players Sami Amin and Khaled Al-Hadithi, and the two referees appeared at a distinguished level, leading the match to safety.
