Hiapo, Hodge, Maldonado Diaz Earn All-Pac-12 Honors


TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona Volleyball garnered three postseason honors from the Pac-12, announced on Tuesday by the conference. Kamaile Hiapo, Jaelyn Hodge, and Sofia Maldonado Diaz were named honorable mention All-Pac-12.
 
Hiapo earned her second honorable mention All-Pac-12 recognition of her career. The senior libero recorded 492 digs and averaged 4.07 digs/set this season, to rank fourth in digs and third in digs/set in program history. Hiapo has recored 1,584 career digs to rank third in Arizona history. She earned two double-doubles this season and has recorded 10 or more digs in 26 matches to lead Arizona’s defense. Hiapo currently leads the Pac-12 in digs (497) and is second in digs/set (4.07). 
 
Hodge is garnering her first career honorable mention All-Pac-12 honor. She finished the regular season with 353 kills, averaging 2.97 kills/set. Hodge is currently 13th in kills and 21st in kills/set in the conference. She has recorded 10 or more kills in 17 matches and two matches with 20 or more kills. Hodge set career highs in hitting percentage (.522 against LIU) and blocks (six at California) this season.

Maldonado Diaz was named honorable mention All-Pac-12 for the third time in her career. She finished the season with 372 kills, averaging 3.18 kills/set, 1.58 digs/set, and 0.39 aces/set. She recorded 10 or more kills in 18 matches and tallied four double-doubles this season. Maldonado Diaz set career highs in hitting percentage (.444 at USC), services aces (six at USC), blocks (seven at California), and block solos (two vs. UTEP). She is currently second in aces (46) and fifth in aces/set (0.39) in the conference. Maldonado Diaz’s 46 aces this season ranks seventh in program history for aces in a single season and her 114 career aces ranks eighth in Arizona history.
