Gainesville, Georgia– Brenau volleyball players Gabrielle Hogle and Julieanne Saliba both joined the Golden Tigers record books with their performances this past week.

Hogle, a setter, notched her 1,000th kill as a Golden Tiger in a match at the Truett McConnell Invitational last week. The Flowery Branch, Ga. native eclipsed the century mark in less than two seasons and is only the seventh Golden Tiger to notch 1,000 assists in a career. Hogle joins former standouts Audra VanArsdal (2006-09), Mekena Cipres (2009-12), Savannah Wilbanks (2016-17), Bailey Hicks (2012-15), Sydney Norton (2018-22) and Kerry Abernathy (2008-11) in the 1,000 assist club.

A stalwart at the libero position, Saliba also joined elite company at the Running Eagles Classic earlier this season. The Buford native collected 1,000 digs in less than two full seasons and becomes only the sixth Brenau volleyball player to accomplish this feat. Maida Smajic (2006-2009), Lindsay Kelly (2011-14), Danielle Russell (2009-12), Melissa Thornton (2009-12) and Jordan Diaz (2017-20) are the only other Golden Tigers to achieve 1,000 or more digs.
