SEATTLE – Achieving their first 20-win season in program history, the Washington Beach Volleyball team heads down to the Pac-12 Beach Volleyball Championships. The Dawgs will be looking to contend for their first Pac-12 title and hopefully secure their first ticket to the NCAA tournament. Going into the tournament with the highest ranking the program has had to date, the Huskies will face the No. 4 seed, host, Stanford Cardinal.
Each match of the Pac-12 tournament will be broadcasted on the Pac-12 Network. The Huskies will play their first match on Wednesday at 1:45 p.m. Pacific. The Huskies are still looking to gain a top-10 win having had tough 2-3 losses to No. 9 Hawaii, No. 4 UCLA, and No. 7 Stanford. Washington is coming off a strong win over No. 19 Pepperdine going into the post-season.
The Huskies will be looking for revenge in the rematch against Stanford. The Cardinal finished regular reason 26-10 and 3-4 in conference with notable wins over No. 10 Long Beach State and No. 6 LSU.
The Huskies are led by the two winningest Beach Dawgs in program history, Natalie Robinson and Chloe Loreen. The pair is currently 27-6 on the season with notable wins against the top pairs of No. 4 FSU, No. 7 Stanford, No. 9 Cal, and No. 1 UCLA. Also having success for the Huskies are pairs Scarlett Dahl and Paloma Bowman who are 17-6, as well as pair Teagan DeFalco and Mary Sinclair who are 12-6.
The Pac-12 tournament will be Wednesday-Friday with double elimination followed by the 2023 NCAA Beach Volleyball selection show that will be hosted this Sunday, April 30th.
