SEATTLE — Home for the remainder of October, the 15th-ranked Husky volleyball team aims to start a sustained run to stay in the mix for a conference title. Washington (14-4, 6-2 Pac-12) hosts Arizona State this Friday, Oct. 21, at 6 p.m. followed by Arizona on Sunday, Oct. 23, at 12 noon to finish up the first half of the conference slate. Friday’s battle with the Sun Devils will be UW Volleyball’s celebration of fifty years of Title IX, with a large group of Husky alumni set to attend. On Sunday, fans can stick around for another full team autograph session with the Dawgs. Both matches will be televised on Pac-12 Networks, on the Pac-12 Washington channel.

The Husky women’s volleyball program officially began as a scholarship sport in the fall of 1974, two years after the passing of Title IX.

Sanja Tomasevic, one of the all-time great Huskies, will be in the building for Friday’s alumni reunion, just coaching the opposing Sun Devils. Arizona State is 3-5 in Pac-12 play, with wins over Arizona, Cal, and Oregon State. The Sun Devils are hitting .217 for the season and .204 in conference play. Iman Isanovic (3.32 kills/set) and Marta Levinska (3.13 kills/set) lead the attack. Claire Jeter hits .335 with 1.60 kills per set and 0.96 blocks per set. Annika…
