SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are back in Purcell Pavilion this week for their final regular season home game of the year as they take on No. 4 Louisville for the second time this season on Wednesday, Nov. 23 at 6:30 p.m. The game this weekend will be broadcasted on ACC Network Extra.

HISTORY VS. LOUISVILLE 

• The overall series between the Irish and Cardinals is led by Notre Dame as the Irish lead 23-20. This is the second matchup against Louisville this season as the Irish fell in three (10-25, 22-25, 14-25) at the KFC Yum Center on Oct. 26, 2022. There was a record-breaking attendance for the Irish/Cardinal matchup as 9,058 fans were in attendance.

• The Cardinals have won the last three matchups against the Irish. The last win prior to this season’s was last year (11.26.21), where the Irish fell in four sets on the road (26-24, 13-25, 23-25, 13-25). 

• The last Notre Dame win was on Sept. 25, 2020, as the Irish defeated the Cardinals on the road in three sets (27-25, 25-22, 26-24). 

• The longest ND winning streak was from 1986-1992 where the Irish won six straight matches against the Cardinals.

54 – Phyona Schrader finished with a career-high 54 assists in the win over East Carolina on Sept. 9 and has 803 assists so far this season.

85 – Kaylyn Winkler is leading the Irish with 85 blocks so far this season, averaging 0.89 blocks per set.

224 – Lucy Trump is leading the team this season with 224 kills as a freshman, followed by fellow freshman Avery Ross who has recorded 214 kills.

424 – Hattie Monson is leading the Irish with 424 digs so far this season.

1,134 – Hattie Monson has tallied 1,134 career digs for the fighting Irish.
