Aberdeen, SD – Presentation College Saints’ Laura Babcock was named to the North Star Athletic Association’s All-Conference Second Team for the 2021 volleyball season. This comes after she was named to the NSAA’s first team in 2020.

Babcock was the star of the Saints volleyball team, helping lead them to a 15-13 regular season record, as well as an appearance in the North Star Athletic Association’s Super Six Conference Tournament.

On the season, Babcock totaled 587 total digs, the third most in the conference, and 29th most in the country. She also averaged 5.61 digs per set, good for second in the conference, and 18th in the country. Along with all of her digs, Babcock also totaled 26 service aces.

Babcock had seven matches where she totaled at least 25 digs, including her season high of 42 digs in the last match of the regular season against Valley City.

With her 587 digs, Babcock moved to second on the Saints all-time leaders in career digs, having 1,779 career digs. Babcock will have an opportunity to take the number one spot next year, as she sits only 58 digs behind the Saints record holder Jennifer Bourdon (1,837).
