Lauren Jardine Named To 2023 U.S. Women's Collegiate National Team

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – University of Utah rising junior Lauren Jardine has been named to the 2023 U.S. Women’s Collegiate National Team (WCNT), the organization announced on Thursday. Jardine’s selection marks Utah Volleyball’s fourth-straight year of having a current student-athlete invited to the WCNT.

Jardine is one of 20 athletes participating in the summer training program in Anaheim, Calif., from June 18-24. The top collegiate volleyball players in the nation will be training alongside the U.S. Women’s National Team as they prepare for the final preliminary round of Volleyball Nations League.

The Highland, Utah native continues the streak of Utes headed to the WCNT program, following former Ute Madelyn Robinson’s selection in 2022 and Dani Drews’ selections in 2020 and 2021.

Heading into her second season as a Ute this fall, Jardine played in all 31 matches with 22 starts at outside hitter after transferring to Utah last season. She played 106 sets, which was the third most on the team, and finished second on the team with 2.53 kills per set. Jardine recorded double-digit kills in 13 matches and posted a season-high 15 kills against Colorado.

Jardine posted 14 kills in four separate matches, highlighted by 14 kills on .355 hitting against Utah State. Her most efficient match of the season was against California where she recorded a .727 hitting percentage with eight kills on 11 swings. Along with her 268 kills, Jardine added 40 blocks and 40 digs.
