League One Volleyball Signs Maddie Haynes

Maddie Haynes will make her U.S. professional debut this fall after playing in Europe for the past four years.


Outside Hitter Graduated From Cal in 2020

California volleyball alum Maddie Haynes has officially signed with League One Volleyball (LOVB) Pro, joining fellow graduates Carli Lloyd and Morgan Beck Miller in the new U.S.-based league.

Haynes, a native of Rocklin, played outside hitter for the Golden Bears from 2016-19, earning All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention status in her senior year. She started her professional career in Germany, playing for the Ladies in Black Aachen from 2020-21 before moving to Switzerland and competing with VBC Cheseaux (2021-22) and Viteos NUC (2022-24). She was named “Best Spiker” at the 2022-23 Swiss Cup and won two Swiss Cup and Swiss League titles, later leading Viteos NUC to a runner-up finish at the Confรฉdรฉration Europรฉene de Volleyball (CEV) Cup.

LOVB Pro will announce its full team assignments at a later date and begin its inaugural preseason in November.
