Lewis' Tyler Morgan Named to Team USA Volleyball 2024 National Collegiate Men's Team


COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — USA Volleyball announced its 2024 Men’s National Collegiate Team Tuesday (June 18) with Lewis junior setter Tyler Morgan (Dike, Iowa/Dike-New Hartford) chosen as one of three setters on the squad.

“I’m really excited to be back in the Team USA gym,” Morgan said. “There are a ton of super talented players and really good coaches that I can’t wait to work and train with. I’m super grateful and I really appreciate this opportunity.”

Morgan adds to his history with USA Volleyball, as he was invited to the 2019 USA Volleyball High Performance Boys Select Holiday Camp, was on the 2020 Boys Youth Training National Team, the 2021 Boys U19 National Training Team, and was a member of the U21 National Team in 2022 and 2023. He earned a gold medal in the 2022 Pan American Cup and a Silver in the 2023 Pan American Cup with the U21 National Team.

The Dike, Iowa native set career-highs in assists (1,070), assists per set (9.82), digs (147), digs per set (1.35), blocks (66) and service aces (20) this season. Morgan helped Lewis men’s volleyball to a 15-15 record including 8-8 in MIVA play and a No. 17 ranking in the final AVCA Coaches’ Poll.
