Mahoney Adds Butkovsky As Director of Volleyball Operations

BOULDER—Brooke Butkovsky has been named the Director of Volleyball Operations, head coach Jesse Mahoney announced earlier this week.

Butkovsky comes to CU from Colorado State where she served as Director of Operations for women’s basketball for the past three seasons after one season at the Director of Player Development.

“Brooke is a valuable addition to our staff,” Mahoney said. “We’re fortunate to add somebody with her experience as a player, coach and administrator to our program.”

She graduated from Clarkson University where she earned both a bachelor’s degree playing both basketball and volleyball, and then earning a master’s degree while serving as an assistant basketball coach.

She was a two-time team captain for the basketball team and on the volleyball court, she helped the Golden Knights to a 104-18 record, three league championships and three NCAA Elite Eight appearances.  As an assistant coach for women’s basketball, she helped the team earn the program’s first NCAA Tournament appearance in 27 seasons.

A native of Connecticut, she attended Masuk High School and played volleyball, basketball and golf in high school.  She is an avid Colorado Avalanche hockey fan and enjoys everything outdoors.
