CHAMBERSBURG, Pa.- The Immaculata men’s volleyball team swept their doubleheader at Wilson College 3-0 and 3-1. The Mighty Macs record now stands at 7-10 for the season, and the seven wins is a new single-season program record.
In their first match, Immaculata defeated Wilson by scores of 25-17, 25-19, and 25-21. John Bohrer led the Mighty Macs offensively with nine kills and one service ace. Garrett Pepper and Jack Debes each had eight kills. Joe Martell distributed 31 assists for the Mighty Macs. Thomas Pierce contributed two service aces. On the defensive side, Matthew Pfister led the Macs with 12 digs. Garrett Pepper had 11 digs, and John Bohrer had six digs.
In set one, Immaculata lead Wilson 15-14, then to a side out and Steven Dao served three straight points to extend Immaculata’s lead 19-14. Immaculata went on to win the set 25-17, closing it on a kill by Jack Debes.
In set two Steven Dao and Jack Debes each served consecutive points, and John Bohrer added a service ace as Immaculata pulled away late in the set. Immaculata close out the second set 25-19 on a kill by Garrett Pepper.
Immaculata would close out the first match, winning set three 25-21. Jack Debes served six straight points to put Immaculata up 9-3. Jack Debes would end the match with a kill on an assist by Joe Martell.
In their second match, Immaculata defeated Wilson by scores of 25-22, 25-21, 24-26, and 26-24. Garrett Pepper led Immaculata with 18 kills and two service aces. Steeven Dao had eight kills, and Jack Debes had six kills for the Mighty Macs. Joe Martell…
