SEATTLE – Washington Beach Volleyball heads to Palo Alto for the Pac-12 North Invitational. The No. 13 Huskies will face two Top-10 teams, No. 4 UCLA and No.9 California. Washington is currently 12-10 on the season with their last two games resulting in two 4-1 wins at the Cal Poly Invitational. This is the Dawgs second Pac-12 invitational, and the Huskies hope to grab some in-conference wins.
The Huskies will face Utah to start out the tournament. The Utes are currently 6-16 on the season and 0-3 in conference so far.
Next up on Friday are the California Golden Bears. This will be the third meeting between the two squads, Cal winning the last two matches 4-1. The Huskies will hope to break the streak against the No. 9 squad. Just this past week, Cal’s pair Radell/Delgado were named AVCA/CBVB National Pair of the week.
Saturday will start with Washington facing UCLA. This will be Washington’s first shot at the No. 4 team. The Bruins, who are 22-2 on the season and undefeated in conference, have beaten every Top-20 team faced besides USC and FSU.
Lastly, the Huskies will face Arizona State who are currently 7-7 on the season and 3-2 in conference. ASU just recently got a Top-20 win by defeating rival No. 18 Arizona.
Matches vs Utah and Arizona State will both be televised on Pac-12 Networks.
