No. 13 USC Men’s Volleyball Flies Over Golden Eagles in Five-Set Win

IRVINE, Calif. – The 13th-ranked USC men’s volleyball team (9-15, 2-9 MPSF) completed a five-set win (25-20, 25-18, 22-25, 23-25, 15-12) over Concordia (8-17, 2-9) at CU Arena on Thursday, April 13. The win ends an eight-match losing streak for the Trojans.
 
KEY PLAYERS

  • Fr. OH Dillon Klein led the Trojans with 22.0 points earned on 16 kills (5e, 33att, .333), four blocks (one solo) and three service aces. He also had four digs as he reached double-digit kills for the 18th time and points for the 20th time.
  • Gr. OH Kevin Kobrine reached double-digit points for the 15th time and finished with 15.5. He had 15 kills for his 12th match in double-digit kills and added five digs and a block.
  • Sr. MB Lucas Frassrand had eight kills (1e, 10att) and hit .700 to go with seven blocks and two service aces to notch 13.5 points; his fifth time in double-digit points this season.
  • Jr. MB Kyle Paulson had nine kills (2e, 17att, .412) with four blocks to reach double-digit points (11.0) for the second time.
  • RS So. OH Jackson Reed racked up six kills, four blocks, and a service ace to finish with nine points.
  • Jr. S Nate Tennant put up 46 assists to guide the Trojans to a .345 hitting rate and had eight digs to go with three blocks and three service aces. Tennant added a kill to finish with 5.5 points.
  • For the Golden Eagles, Uriel Batista led with 19 kills but had 15 errors on 48 swings to hit…
