STANFORD, Calif. – The No. 2-ranked USC beach volleyball team (20-1) took down Arizona (18-5) by a 4-1 count to open day two of the Pac-12 North Invitational at Stanford Beach Volleyball Stadium on Saturday, April 8. The Women of Troy pushed their active win streak to 10 consecutive duals to mark the ninth time in program history that the team has produced a double-digit win streak.

Arizona equalized with a win from the No. 4 spot where Dilara Gedikoglu and Kali Uhl fought it out for a three-set win over the Trojans’ newly-formed pair of graduate Ashlyn Rasnick-Pope and freshman Gabby Walker, 21-17, 14-21, 16-14.

The Trojans regained the lead with a win at the No. 3 position where graduate Madison Shields and freshman Madison White claimed a 21-13, 21-12 win over Grace Cook and Alana Rennie. It the Trojan duo’s 10th straight win as Shields-White improves to 15-5 overall.

Moments later, the clinching point went up from the top court when juniors Megan Kraft and Delaynie Maple closed out a 21-19, 21-15 win over Sarah Blacker and Alex Parkhurst for their fourth straight win to improve to 14-1 on the season.

Graduate Jenna Johnson and freshman Bailey Showalter tacked up the fourth USC point of the day from the fifth position. There, the Trojans defeated Miranda Erro and Annie Kost in three sets, 21-12, 18-21, 15-9 to wrap the dual.

The Trojans conclude the Pac-12 North Invitational with a matchup against Utah (6-18) at the Sand Hill Courts set for a noon PT start. There will be no television or stream for the Trojans and Utes, but live scores will be made available through links at USCTrojans.com.
