SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – The No. 2-ranked USC beach volleyball team (27-3) secured a 5-0 sweep of No. 5 TCU (25-6) at the Center of Effort Challenge at Swanson Beach Volleyball Complex on Saturday, April 13. The win puts the Trojans into the first-place dual set for 5:45 p.m. PT.

The Women of Troy extended their win streak straight to seven consecutive duals and improved to 9-1 all-time against the Horned Frogs. USC also improved to 14-1 in San Luis Obispo and collected its 154th 5-0 sweep all-time, the Trojans’ 16th of the season.

USC scored the first dual point from the No. 3 position where twin grads Audrey Nourse and Nicole Nourse collected a 21-12, 21-13 win over Tara Patton and Morgan Williams to go to 23-6 this spring and for their 114th all-time victory.

At the top court, All-American seniors Megan Kraft and Delaynie Maple took down Hailey Hamlet and Sutton MacTavish, 21-18, 21-13, to improve to 27-3 on the season and to 55-6 all-time. Moments later, the Trojans clinched the dual with a 21-9, 21-19 win at the No. 4 position when freshman Ashley Pater and graduate Grace Seits held off Luana Araco and Keagan Polk.

USC made it 4-0 with a win from the No. 2 position where graduate Maddi Kriz and sophomore Madison White defeated Anhelina Khmil and Ana Vergara, 21-15, 21-17; and sealed the sweep with a 21-12, 21-17 win at court five where freshman Madison Goellner and sophomore Mabyn Thomas took out Olivia Clines and Emma Glagau, 21-12, 21-17.

The Trojans will play again at 5:45 p.m. PT against No. 1-ranked UCLA (27-4) in the first-place dual. USC split two matches with the Bruins on the opening weekend of the season in Hawai’i at the Outrigger Duke Kahanamoku Beach Classic. It will be 30th time that the Women of Troy play in a No. 1 vs. No. 2 matchup. USC is 16-13 all-time in such duals (1-1 in 2024) and is 7-4 when it is ranked No. 2 entering the meeting and 9-9 as the No. 1-ranked team. The last time the Trojans played the No. 1-ranked team, it was also UCLA, and USC won, 3-2, in the NCAA championship dual (May 7, 2023).
