Illinois volleyball prepares for a challenging week as the team continues Big Ten play with a match against No. 3 Wisconsin at Huff Hall on Thursday night. The Fighting Illini hold an even 11-11 mark this year a 6-6 record in league play.
The 2022 campaign marks the 49th season of Illinois volleyball with the Illini holding an overall record of 1,045-606-7 (.633) and a mark of 474-303 (.610) in the Big Ten.

LAST TIME OUT
The Illini took the show on the road, topping Rutgers in four sets at College Avenue Gym last Sunday. The triumph over Rutgers completed the season sweep of the Scarlet Knights, giving Illinois the 14-1 edge in the all-time series between the programs
Three Illini players amassed double-digit kills with Raina Terry leading the way as the junior recorded 19 in the four-set match. Kayla Burbage and Brooke Mosher added 11 kills apiece.
Diana Brown tallied 46 assists in the match. The setter jumped into fifth all-time in the Illini record books, posting 3,972 helpers for her career in the Orange and Blue.
Defensively, Caroline Barnes paced the squad with 16 digs. Rylee Hinton dominated at the net, posting a match-high nine blocks.
HISTORY OF ILLINOIS VS. THE FIELD
Illinois holds the slight advantage of 49-45-1 in the program’s all-time series against Wisconsin. The mark includes a 23-20 record when hosting the Badgers.
OPPONENT SCOUT
Wisconsin boasts a 17-3 overall record and owns an 11-1 mark in league action. The Badgers have won 10-straight matches, sweeping then-ranked No. 1 Nebraska and taking down No. 9 Minnesota 3-1 last week.
The meeting at Huff Hall will be the second of the season for the squads. During the first matchup between the programs during the 2022 campaign, Wisconsin walked away the victors of a five-set thriller in Madison, Wis.
