COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s volleyball team (6-5, 2-1 B1G) wraps up its road trip at Indiana (9-6, 2-1 B1G) on Saturday evening in a match broadcast on B1G+. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.

  • Ohio State continues to be ranked in the top-10 this week, coming in at No. 6 in Monday’s poll.
  • Ohio State enters the match with a 6-5 overall record and a 2-1 B1G record after a four-set win (25-22, 25-18, 17-25, 25-21) at RV Michigan on Wednesday.
  • Gabby Gonzales led OSU against the Wolverines by tying her career-high 22 kills and her season-high 12 digs, while the OSU defense put up a season-best 10.0 blocks, forcing its opponent to hit under .200 for the third-straight match.
  • The Buckeyes opened Big Ten play with a sweep at Iowa (25-16, 25-8, 26-24) on Friday evening before losing a marathon five-setter at No. 3 Nebraska (22-25, 26-24, 25-19, 20-25, 13-15) on Saturday night.
  • Indiana enters the match with a 9-6 overall record and a 2-1 mark to begin conference play.
  • The Hoosiers were swept (17-25, 21-25, 23-25) at No. 9 Penn State on Sept. 23 to open conference play but have bounced back to beat Maryland on the road in five sets (25-21, 25-16, 24-26, 19-25, 17-15) and sweep Iowa (25-16, 25-10, 25-20) at home mid-week.
  • Ohio State will be the third ranked opponent for the Hoosiers this season as Indiana previously lost to No. 9 Penn State and No. 21 Western Kentucky.
  • Ohio State leads 53-26 in the all-time series with Indiana and has the 19-17 edge when facing the Hoosiers in Bloomington.
  • The Buckeyes have won the two most recent meetings with the Hoosiers, including the lone match last season – a sweep (25-10, 27-25, 25-20) in Columbus on Sept. 29.
  • Indiana’s most recent win was on Oct. 19, 2018 – a sweep (15-25, 19-25, 22-25) in Bloomington.
