COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 6 Ohio State women’s volleyball team (14-5, 10-1 B1G) travels to No. 11 Penn State (17-5, 6-5 B1G) on Saturday night for the teams’ second meeting of the season. The match will be broadcast on BTN with first serve scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET.

  • Ohio State was ranked sixth in this week’s AVCA poll.
  • On Monday, Kylie Murr was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season.
  • Ohio State enters the match with a 14-5 overall record and a 10-1 record in Big Ten play, which is tied for the conference lead.
  • The Buckeyes swept (25-17, 25-21, 25-23) a Michigan team receiving votes on Wednesday night in the Covelli Center in front of a sold-out crowd.
  • The Buckeyes continue to have a balanced attack with three averaging at least 3.00 kills/set apiece – Emily Londot (3.74), Gabby Gonzales (3.31) and Jenaisya Moore (3.09).
  • Penn State enters the match with a 17-5 overall record and a 6-5 mark in Big Ten play. The Nittany Lions are coming off a four-set loss (19-25, 20-25, 25-23, 23-25) at Illinois on Wednesday night.
  • PSU is 2-3 against ranked opponents this season, earning five-set wins against (then) No. 11 Stanford and (then) No. 18 Oregon during the non-conference slate before falling to (then) No. 8 Wisconsin, No. 6 Ohio State and (then) No. 3 Nebraska all on the road.
  • Kashauna Williams leads the Nittany Lions offense with 3.24 kills/set this season, while Maddy Bilinovic leads the back row with 3.38 digs/set this season.
  • Penn State leads 51-20 in the all-time series against Ohio State. The Buckeyes are 6-28 when facing the Nittany Lions in University Park.
  • Ohio State won in five sets (25-17, 25-15, 25-27, 22-25, 15-11) in Columbus earlier this month.
  • The teams split the meetings last season with each team winning at home.
