Northeast Conference Announces Women's Volleyball Preseason Poll


SOMERSET, N.J. – The Merrimack College women’s volleyball team was picked to finish eighth in the Northeast Conference (NEC) preseason poll as announced by the league on Wednesday afternoon.
 
Sacred Heart University was picked unanimously in the top spot, followed by Long Island University in the second. Saint Francis University rounds out the top three, taking third. Central Connecticut State University was voted fourth, St. Francis Brooklyn College was picked fifth. The sixth spot features Fairleigh Dickinson University. Newly added NEC member Stonehill College takes the seventh spot and the Warriors round out the list in eighth.   
 
Merrimack opens the season up at the University of New Hampshire, playing three games, including their opener against the Wildcats on August 26. The Warriors will take Hammel Court for the first time on August 30 when the College of Holy Cross comes to town. Game time is set for 7 PM.
