Opening Weekend Ends With Setback To Toledo

TEMPE, Ariz. – Wrapping up opening weekend, Sun Devil Volleyball fell 3-0 to Toledo on Saturday afternoon at Desert Financial Arena to end the Webb-Burbridge Classic.

Notable Stats

  • Arizona State (2-1) fell to Toledo (3-0) in the final match of the weekend. The Rockets out-blocked the Sun Devils 10 to four. 
  • Senior outside hitter Iman Isanovic led the team with 10 kills, her second match in a row reaching double figures. Her career kills count is up to 997, just three away from the illustrious 1,000 kill mark.
  • Two Sun Devils reached double digits in digs. Sophomore libero Jaden Ravnsborg notched 12 digs while fellow sophomore Geli Cyr had 11. Cyr also added seven kills.
  • Junior setter Ella Snyder was the assist leader for ASU today with 17 and seven digs. Senior Shannon Shields added 11 assists and five digs.
  • In the middle, junior Claire Jeter had another solid outing. She led the team in blocks with four and had seven kills on a .429 clip.
