STORRS, Conn. – Syracuse Volleyball fell to Bryant on Friday evening inside Gampel Pavilion on the campus of UConn. The final score was 3-2 in favor of the Bulldogs.
“We have to focus on eliminating the unforced errors in our game,” said head coach Bakeer Ganesharatnam. “That is ultimately what cost us tonight, even in those close sets.”
The Orange dropped the first set by a narrow margin of two points (24-16) before turning around and taking set two by the same amount (25-23). With the matchup tied 1-1, sets were traded again (25-27, 25-22). ‘Cuse won the fourth set to force it into five frames but ultimately came up short (15-11), allowing Bryant to take the win.
‘Cuse now returns home to open ACC play with a two-game homestand inside the friendly confines of the Women’s Building, as the squad is set to face Boston College on Wednesday (Sept. 21st) at 8 p.m. and Duke on Friday (Sept. 23rd) at noon. The primetime matchup against Boston College will be televised live on the ACC Network (one of three linear tv games scheduled this season).
On Wednesday fans will be in for a fun night, as the conference opener against BC is Support Ukraine and Student Night. Admission to all home games is free.
