POL M: Indykpol AZS Olsztyn Stuns PGE Skra Bełchatów in Penultimate Round of Plusliga

The penultimate round of the Plusliga, Round 29, concluded today with a major upset for PGE Skra Bełchatów. They were defeated by Indykpol AZS Olsztyn in a straight-set victory 23-25, 19-25, and 22-25.

After their recent performances and results, particularly their victory against Jastrzębski Węgiel, PGE Skra Bełchatów was in a good position to secure a playoff spot. However, after today’s match, their chances are no longer possible. The team now stands officially out of playoffs with a disappointing 10th place in the standings.

Karol Butryn was the top scorer in the match with 21 points, achieved through 57% in attack, 2 winning blocks, and 3 aces. Meanwhile, Dick Kooy was the most effective player for Bełchatów, contributing 13 points with 71% in attack, 1 block, and 44% on reception. Aleksandar Atanasijevic added 12 points with 50% in attack and 2 aces.
