Rackham Watt Announces Signing of Outside Hitter Eryn Jones

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee volleyball added outside hitter Eryn Jones to the roster ahead of the 2024 campaign, head coach Eve Rackham Watt announced Thursday.

“We are really excited to add a player of Eryn’s caliber this late,” Rackham Watt said. “She has tremendous upside as an athlete and can play the total game. What also stood out to us was Eryn’s character. She is a great teammate, highly competitive and wants to be in the gym. Our staff is looking forward to developing her in our program.”

Jones, a transfer from TCU, has four years of eligibility left after redshirting last year as a freshman with the Horned Frogs. A 2023 graduate of Millennium High School in Goodyear, Arizona, Jones totaled 1,255 kills, 955 digs, 177 service aces and 164 total blocks throughout her high school career.

An all-state performer, Jones led her team to the 2020 AIA Girls Volleyball 5A State Championship and garnered 5A Desert West Conference Player of the Year three times throughout her time in high school. She also played two years of club beach volleyball for Revolution Volleyball Academy.

Jones’ best offensive season came as a junior, when she recorded 421 kills in 114 sets. As a senior, she enjoyed her best all-around campaign, posting 338 kills as well as 47 aces to go along with personal bests in total blocks (51), digs (311) and assists (21).

Tennessee has now added four transfers this offseason. Jones joins former No. 1 overall recruit Hayden Kubik (Nebraska), 2023 CAA Player of the Year Nina Cajic (Towson) and DII All-American Ajack Malual (Chaminade).
