COLLEGE PARK, MD – Redshirt junior Anastasia Russ has been named to the North Region AVCA All American team as an honorable mention honoree, the AVCA announced Tuesday morning.
Russ picks up another accolade after a stellar first season with the Terps. Russ became the second Terp in program history to lead the nation in an NCAA statistical category as she completed the 2022 campaign with 182 total blocks. The Pittsburgh, Pa.native also finished top-five in blocks per set with 1.54. Russ will go down in the record books for block assists in a season, totaling 160.
The redshirt junior also picked up a pair of Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week honors this season.
The Terps wrapped up their 2022 season with a five-set victory over Indiana on Nov. 25, finishing the season with a 16-16 record.
