Dickinson, ND – The Presentation College Saints finished up their regular season with a win against the Blue Hawks of Dickinson State University 3-1 on Saturday afternoon. The win brings their season record to 9-21 overall and 6-8 in the NSAA.
The first two sets of the afternoon were highly contested sets with the Blue Hawks winning set one 21-25 over the Saints. The Saints came back in set two and were pushed passed the normal 25 points to win to a final score of 27-25 in favor of the Saints.
The Saints came out in the third set and put together a few runs in order to give themselves an early lead. The Blue Hawks did fight back and take an 11-12 lead before the Saints put together to runs to close out the third set 25-18.
The fourth set was the final set of the night and much like the third set it was a set of runs by both teams. The Saints did use several of their runs in order to build a lead of six points and used that cushion throughout the set to take the set 25-20.
By the Numbers…
The Saints were lead again in kills by Grace Tobin (JR/Mason City, IA) with 14. She was joined in the double digit kills club by Kerstin Knopik (SO/Little Falls, MN) with 12. Oliva Corey led all Saints with 21 assist. Sydney Miller (SR/Battle Ground, WA) had 20 assist of her own in the match. Laura Babcock (SR/Aberdeen, SD) let with 20 digs and Tobin added 18 of her own in the match. Knopik had 2 single blocks, 5 block assist in the match.

Next up for the Presentation College Saints is a trip to Watertown, SD and the North Star Athletic Association Super Six Volleyball Championship. The sixth seeded Saints will be the opening round match on Friday November 11th at 10 AM vs the third seeded Dakota State University Trojans.
