TEMPE, Ariz. – Following a strong effort at the Pac-12 North Invitational, Sun Devil Beach Volleyball returns to Tempe for the home finale and to celebrate seniors Cierra Flood, Maddy Salazar and Lauren Weintraub

How to Follow

Arizona State will play in two duals on Friday, with the senior day ceremony before both of them at around 9:45 a.m. MST. Starting at 10:00 a.m. MST, the Sun Devils will play against Ottawa. Then the Sand Devils will face off against Park University at 12:00 p.m. MST. For updates, follow along on Twitter and Instagram (@SunDevilBeachVB), and live statistics will be provided. 

Sun Devil Outlook

Arizona State (13-13, 5-6 Pac-12)

  • The Sun Devils are coming off three wins at the Pac-12 North Invitational in Stanford, California against Oregon, Utah and Washington. 
  • The two duos of Taryn Ames and Maddy Salazar, and Kate Fitzgerald and Kylie Wickley all went 3-1 during the tournament. Fitzgerald now totals 15 wins on the season to lead all Sun Devils in victories this season. The other three aforementioned each have 14 wins on the season.  
  • Fifth year graduate student Cierra Flood is now tied for second place all time in wins with 61 total. Flood clinched this new mark in a duos victory over Utah alongside partner Lexi Sweeney. In the No. 1 spot, Sweeney and Flood have a 10-16 mark so far on the season. 

Opponent Outlook

Ottawa University- Arizona (16-9)

  • They most recently defeated Saint Katherine 4-1 in Palm Desert, CA. Ottawa has played some key match-ups against San Jose State, Utah, Boise State and Santa Clara. 
  • This will be the first time Arizona State and Ottawa University have faced off.

Park University (11-8)

  • They most recently defeated South Mountain Community College 4-1, and have played against key opponents such as Marymount California University and Northern Arizona. 
  • Park University and Arizona State last played in 2019, where the Sand Devils won 5-0 in straight sets.
