COLLEGE PARK, MD – Student-athletes Zoe Huang and Samantha Schnitta and head coach Adam Hughes are set to represent Maryland volleyball at the 2024 Big Ten Volleyball Media Day in early August.
Huang and Schnitta will participate in a series of photoshoots, video shoots, and content creation, in addition to discussing the upcoming season with attending media. The Terps are slated to make their appearances on the first day of the event, Monday, August 5.
Huang enters her senior season in 2024. Last year, she saw playing time increase with career bests in sets played (29) and matches played (16). She set a new personal best recording nine digs, her most in a single season. Huang received the Big Ten Sportsmanship Honor following her junior year.
Schnitta returns to College Park for her fifth year of eligibility. In her first year as a Terp, she appeared in 85 sets across 27 matches and compiled the best offensive season of her career, setting single-season highs with 223 kills and 2.62 kills per set. Schnitta hit a consistent .223 on the right side, tallied a single-season best 41 total blocks and secured at least 10 kills in 12 matches.
