ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa.– A record-breaking performance helped lead to a CVC Player of the Week award for Elizabethtown College setter Nate Seeger.
The senior setter became the program’s all-time leader in assists and now sits with 1,186 assists. He recorded the record against Hood on February 13 and also added a career-high four aces in that match while helping the Blue Jays to a sweep. He finished with 30 assists in the match, running an offense that finished with a .582 team-hitting percentage.
Seeger followed with 52 assists in a 3-1 win over Kean in his team’s CVC season opener. His 52 assists tie the CVC season-high and are the most in a four-set match this year. It is also just the second time a Blue Jay has topped 50 assists in a match, a mark he previously reached in 2022.
Seeger finished the week with 82 total assists, averaging 11.71 per set and helping his team improve its record to 8-3 on the season. Seeger also added four aces and 10 digs while his team hit .330 on the week. Seeger currently ranks second in the league with 9.84 assists per set.
The Blue Jays travel to Widener tomorrow at 7:30 pm.
