STANFORD, Calif. – Behind a season-high hitting percentage, No. 2 Stanford closed out the regular season with a 25-13, 25-17 25-19 sweep over Cal on Senior Night, Friday, in Maples Pavilion.

The Cardinal (26-3, 19-1 Pac-12), which leads the nation in hitting percentage, had just four hitting errors against Cal (16-15, 5-15 Pac-12) to post a season-best .469 clip. Stanford racked up 42 kills, 42 digs, 10.0 blocks and six aces in the win.

Opposite Kendall Kipp led all players with 16 kills on .519 hitting, seven digs, four blocks and three aces in her final regular season match at Maples Pavilion. The fifth year senior now has 126 career aces, moving her into a tie for seventh in program history.

 



Redshirt senior outside hitter Caitie Baird hit .429 with six kills on 14 errorless swings to go with eight digs, two blocks and two assists, while redshirt senior middle blocker McKenna Vicini had a match-high eight blocks and two kills.

Senior Malia Tufuga started the match at middle blocker in all three sets, totaling three kills and a pair of blocks. The Costa Mesa native has played every position for the Cardinal in a match at some point during her career.

 



Setter Kami Miner dished out 33 assists and had six digs, two aces, two blocks and a kill. Libero Elena Oglivie collected a match-high 13 digs to go with two assists and an ace.
 



Outside hitter Elia Rubin recorded 14 kills on .500 hitting, five digs and a block for the Cardinal, which carries an eight-match winning streak into the postseason.
