Serena Gray to Compete with U.S. National Team at Pan American Cup

PITTSBURGH – Two-time All-American Serena Gray has been named to the U.S. National Team to compete in the Pan American Cup. She becomes the first Panther to be named to the squad.

The 2022 AVCA First Team All-American and two-time all-conference recipient is second in program history in single season hitting percentage with a .411 clip in 2022. Gray’s play helped propel the Panthers to their second straight Final Four. She is only the second player in program history to earn Academic All-American, AVCA All-American and All-Conference in the same season, along with Kayla Lund. Gray led the team last season with 131 total blocks and a .396 hitting percentage.

Gray and the United States will begin play at the Pan American Cup on Aug. 6 against Costa Rica at 2:00 EST.
