Seven Trojans Named to CSC At-Large Academic All-District Team

LOS ANGELES – Seven Trojans from three different teams earned selections to the College Sports Communicators At-Large Academic All-District Team on Tuesday, June 25. USC’s latest CSC Academic All-District honorees — Ella Heaney and Claudia Shevitz of lacrosse; Andrej Grgurevic of men’s water polo; Megan Kraft, Delaynie Maple, Audrey Nourse and Nicole Nourse of beach volleyball — were each instrumental in the success of their teams’ recently completed seasons. 

After concluding the spring season with its fourth consecutive NCAA Championship,USC  beach volleyball had four members of its squad placed on the list. The Nourse twins both received master’s degrees in public relations and advertising, while Maple graduated with a degree in communication and Megan Kraft earned a degree in accounting. Kraft was named AVCA Player of the Year, and Maple was a First Team All-American.This is Nicole Nourse’s third time on the list, having earned 2023 CSC All-District and 2021 CSC Third-Team Academic All-American status. Audrey Nourse earned All-District and Third-Team Academic All-American recognition in 2023. This is the first time Maple and Kraft have appeared on the CSC All-District Team. 

Lacrosse standout Shevitz earned her degree in public relations, while her teammate Heaney graduated with a masters degree in entrepreneurship and innovation after another All-Pac-12 season. Heaney took home the Trojans first Pac-12 Attacker of the Year award and Shevitz took home All-Pac-12 Second Team honors. This is Heaney’s first-career CSC Academic All-District recognition, while Shevitz was named to the list in 2023. 

As a sophomore on the USC men’s water polo team, Grgurevic helped the Trojans reach a 19th straight NCAA Tournament after winning the 2023 MPSF Tournament championship. An All-MPSF Honorable Mention recipient and an MPSF Player of the Week award this past season, he has now also added to his collection of academic honors with his first CSC Academic accolades. Grgurevic also earned spots on the ACWPC All-Academic, MPSF Scholar-Athlete and Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll lists for 2023-24. Hailing from Sydney, Australia, Grgurevic scored 21 goals for the Trojans last season, and he is majoring in business administration at USC.
