Stanford Falls at Arizona State

TEMPE, Ariz. – No. 3 Stanford hit a season-low .194 in a 25-16, 25-21, 25-14 loss at No. 21 Arizona State, Sunday, at Mullett Arena.

Stanford (18-3) drops to 11-1 in the Pac-12, ending its 29-match winning streak in conference play. Arizona State (21-3, 9-3 Pac-12) hit .311 as a team, registering 41 kills and six aces.

Outside hitter Caitie Baird led Stanford with 12 kills, three digs and a block, while Elia Rubin added eight kills, 10 digs and an ace.

Setter Kami Miner tallied 30 assists and nine digs, while libero Elena Oglivie had a match-high 16 digs.

Middle blocker Sami Francis hit .357 with six kills and two blocks, while redshirt senior McKenna Vicini chipped in with five blocks. Opposite Kendall Kipp was limited to six kills and posted eight digs, five blocks and two aces.

Arizona State was led by opposite Marta Levinska’s 17 kills on .371 hitting, 12 digs, two blocks and four assists. Outside hitter Roberta Rabelo added nine kills on a .381 attack percentage and three digs.

Stanford returns to The Farm to play host to No. 6 Washington State on Friday and Washington on Sunday.
