Stanford Overpowers ASU – Stanford University Athletics

STANFORD, Calif. – In a complete team effort, No. 3 Stanford swept No. 25 Arizona State, 25-19, 25-18, 25-12, Friday, at Maples Pavilion.

Stanford (10-2, 3-0), which has not dropped a set in Pac-12 play, hit .339 as a team, while holding previously undefeated Arizona State (14-1, 2-1 Pac-12) to a .125 clip. The Cardinal tallied 49 kills, 51 digs, six aces and 8.0 blocks, while the Sun Devils finished with just 27 kills, 41 digs, one ace and 5.0 blocks.

Opposite Kendall Kipp led all players with 15 kills on .393 hitting to go with three blocks and two aces. The Newport Beach native also had a season-high 11 digs, notching her second double-double of the season. Outside hitter Elia Rubin also turned in a double-double, her fourth of the year, with 12 kills on a .400 attack percentage and 11 digs.

Setter Kami Miner racked up 44 assists while controlling the offense, and collected seven digs and three blocks. Libero Elena Oglivie had a match-best 13 digs and put down a pair of aces.

Middle blocker Sami Francis finished with six kills on 11 errorless swings to hit .545 and had a match-high five blocks. Redshirt senior McKenna Vicini added eight kills on a .462 attack percentage and three blocks, including the 400^th of her career.
