The Wolves started the game on top of a closely contested set, but a serving run by Anthony Torres (So., Aurora, Ill., Computer Science), one that included two aces, resulted in five consecutive points for WPU to give them a 10-6 lead. The hosts rallied to even the score once again, but another scoring run put the set out of reach as Eli Herro (Jr., Dousman, Wis., Business Management) and Caleb Seguin (Sr., Pickering, Ontario, Digital Communication) combined for a pair of blocks to spark the run. The Statesmen struggled offensively in the first set, hitting only .172, but held the Wolves to a mere .027 hitting percentage.

William Penn fell behind early in the second as they conceded five of the first six points, but Torres stepped to the service line again and another Statesmen run ensued. Torres delivered another pair of aces during the eight-point run, flipping a two-point deficit to a five-point advantage. The lead held up for the rest of the set as the navy and gold took a 2-0 lead in the match. The offense clicked in the second, improving their hitting percentage to .476 in the second.

Unlike the first two sets, the Statesmen left no doubt in set three. An 11-2 run, highlighted by four kills from CJ Rettig (Jr., Sierra Madre, Calif., Physical Education), put the set away relatively early, and Charlie Figy (So., Appleton, Wis., Sports Management) earned kills on three straight WPU points to close it out.

Landon Krause (So., Appleton, Wis., Sports Management) led the team in kills with 10, hitting .438 for the match. He had a great all-around game, adding six digs and three aces. Figy and Herro had identical lines offensively, each earning eight kills against two errors on 12 total chances. Connor Muff (Sr., Kenosha, Wis., Business Management) earned 34 assists, and Carlos Garcia (Jr., Laredo, Texas, Nursing) led the defense with 12 digs.

Krause helped set the tone early with the first two kills of the match as WPU opened up its second game of the day with a 6-2 lead. Concordia bounced back to tie the match at six, but the Statesmen opened up the lead and held it the rest of the set to win by a final of 25-19.
