Stillman Wraps up Volleyball Season

NEW ORLEANS – Stillman College Volleyball closed its 2022 season Saturday in a trimatch at Loyola University. The Tigers lost the first match of the day to Loyola before falling to Louisiana Christiain 25-2, 25-5 and 25-10. On Friday, Stillman traveled to William Carey University, dropping three sets, 25-5, 25-6, 25-4. 

  

Aeraeonna Manuel had six kills on the day, including four against Loyola. She had three kills, four digs and an assisted block at WCU. Khadeja Bryant had two kills against Loyola. 

  

Madison had five set assists against WCU and nine total for the weekend.

 

Manuel finished the season with a team-high 62 kills and 16 service aces. Her 19 total blocks (10 solo, nine block assists) also led the team. 

 

Jones led Stillman with 77 digs in 20 matches, while Grace Fjeldstad had 77 digs and 62 set assists in 19 matches. 

 

Stillman’s season comes to a close after finishing 10th in the Southern States Athletic Conference. Only the top eight advance to the SSAC Tournament.
