Grayson, Ky.- The volleyball team returned to the court on Friday. The team crossed state lines to take on the Kentucky Christian University Lady Knights in an Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) match.

Shante Smith put the first point on the board for the Lady Bulldogs in the first set, and Kamari Jackson along with Amya Sutton followed to make the score 5-3 in favor of the opponents. Kentucky Christian went on a run though, scoring 11 of the next 17 points to take a 16-9 lead. TWU was unable to recover from the run, falling 25-11 in the first set.

The second set looked bleak as the Lady Knights opened with a 9-1 lead. A scoring rally that saw points from the combination of Sutton, Megan Thompson, and Megan Lee helped the team cut the deficit to two points with the scoreboard reading 12-10. The team was not able to turn the lead in their favor though, going on to fall in the second set 25-18.

In the third set, the score remained close through the first nine points with the opponents leading 5-4. A kill by Grayson Fleming gave the team their fifth point as they tried to stay close to the Lady Knights. The opponents went on a scoring run that helped them take a 16-9 lead. The end of the set occurred with Kentucky Christian winning 25-13 to take the match 3-0.

Sutton led the offense with 11 kills in the match while Sydney Allen aided with 14 assists. Fleming and Bolin led the digs effort with seven each.
