COLLEGE PARK, Md. — The Maryland volleyball program announced game times for its 2022 season on Monday.
The Terps begin the season at home as they welcome Rhode Island, Navy and Florida Gulf Coast to College Park the weekend of August 26-27.
Maryland then hits the road for ten consecutive games stretching into Big Ten action. That stretch begins September 2-3 against Georgetown, Stony Brook, and South Florida.
The Terps then head cross-country to San Diego, California. On the West Coast, the Terps will face San Diego State, Sacramento State, and Arizona. The trip will mark the closest that senior Lexy Finnerty has played to her hometown of Encinitas, California, in college. The trip back home is about 25 miles.
Maryland’s final trip heading into the Big Ten season comes as the Terps head South to Charlottesville, Virginia. Waiting there will be Mercer, East Carolina, and the host Cavaliers.
In Big Ten action, the Terps will have three matches on Big Ten Network. For more information, check HERE.
Fans will get their first chance to watch live Terps volleyball on August 20 as the program hosts its annual Red-White Scrimmage. The scrimmage is free and open to the public.
Last season the Terps earned 19 victories, the most since 2010 for the program. Maryland’s undefeated 13-0 start was the team’s best beginning since 2005. Their seven Big Ten victories were the most for the program since 2018.
