The first edition of the women’s volleyball open League Championship, was launched yesterday evening, in a step that comes within the plan developed by the Qatar Volleyball Association for the women’s volleyball support program. The Championship, which will be held in a single-round league system, will witness the participation of 9 teams: Qatar Club, Al Arabi Club, Hamad Bin Khalifa University, Qatar University, Doha University, Wa’ed Academy, F45 team, Lions Sri Lanka team , and Qatar Foundation team.
The launching ceremony of the first open women’s volleyball Championship was witnessed by Mr. Ali Ghanem Al Kuwari, President of “QVA”, and Mrs. Lulwa Hussein Al Marri, Chairman of the Qatari Women’s Sports Committee.
In the opening match, Waad Academy defeated Qatar Foundation with a score of 2-0 in the first match of the open tournament in QVA hall.
The results of the matches of the first day of the start of the Championship resulted in the Lions SriLanka team defeating Doha University with a score of 2-0.
F45 team won over Al Arabi Club with a score of 2-1
In the match that was held today Saturday at Qatar University hall , the Qatar Club team defeated Qatar University team with a score of 2-0
