UCLA Sweeps Northwestern State to Conclude Road Trip

NATCHITOCHES, La. – Four Bruins reached double-figure kills as the UCLA women’s volleyball team concluded its Louisiana road trip with a 3-0 sweep of Northwestern State in Prather Coliseum Monday afternoon.
 
The Bruins (2-1) defeated the Lady Demons (0-4) in front of a record-breaking crowd of 1,232 fans who came out to see UCLA compete at the university for the first time in program history.
 
Set scores were 25-23, 25-17 and 25-22.
 
Senior Iman Ndiaye led all Bruins with 14 kills at a .429 hitting percentage. Ndiaye averages a team-leading 3.31 kills per set through the first three matches of the season. Peyton Dueck looked especially sharp at libero with a team-high 12 digs. Audrey Pak totaled 33 assists at the setter position, 15 of which came in the first set.
 
Joining Ndiaye in double-figures was Anna Dodson (10 kills, .425%), Cheridyn Leverette (10 kills, .350%) and Grayce Olson (10 kills, .208%). All told, UCLA hit a collective .317 in the match.
 
UCLA is back in action at the Long Beach State Tournament in The Walter Pyramid this week with matches versus future Big Ten Conference foe Indiana on Friday, Sept. 1 at 4 p.m. (PT) and Long Beach State on Saturday, Sept. 2 at 7 p.m. (PT). Both contests will be available for streaming on…
