University of California, Merced – Four Bobcats Selected to Cal Pac All-Academic Team

MERCED, Calif. – Zach Brill, Ryan Kilgore, Kaikoa Soma and Toby Miller have been selected to the California Pacific Conference men’s volleyball All-Academic Team for their excellence academically and athletically.

The Bobcats four selections are the most in the conference.

In order to be considered for this honor, student athletes must have completed one full academic year at their current institution and hold at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA. 

All four Bobcats have at least a 3.7 GPA. Kilgore leads the ten-player All-Academic Team with a 4.0 GPA.

Brill is the lone Cal Pac men’s volleyball player to earn postseason honors and All-Academic team honors. The senior libero ranked fifth in the Cal Pac with 2.2 digs per set in addition to recording 24 assists and two service aces.

Both Brill and Kilgore are working towards a degree in Management & Business Economics. Soma is a Public Health major, while Miller is undeclared.
