Utah Sweeps Wyoming for Sixth Consecutive Win

LARAMIE, Wyo. – Utah Volleyball completed its non-conference slate with a 3-0 (25-19, 25-17, 25-22) sweep of the Wyoming Cowgirls. The Utes look ahead to Big 12 action riding a six-game win streak, winning four of those matches by way of a 3-0 decision.
 
Utah was firing on all cylinders through the first set, as the Utes did not commit their first attacking error until the score was 21-16. Utah built an eight-point lead at 20-12, trading points with Wyoming, getting kills from Kamryn Gibadlo and Rianne Vos. Closing out the set, Utah scored three of the final four points, 25-19, getting a pair of kills from Lauren Jardine, adding a block from Gibadlo and Emrie Satuala.
 
The Utes put together an early four-point run, taking a 6-3 advantage. Utah took advantage of five Wyoming errors, compiling a seven-point run and extending the lead to 13-5. As the two sides exchanged blows, the Utes limited the mistakes while taking advantage of the ones made by Wyoming, sealing the second set win off three consecutive Cowgirl attack errors, 25-17.
 
Utah completed the sweep by fending off the relentless Wyoming fight throughout the third set. The two sides exchanged points, as the scoreboard flashed nine ties and three lead changes in the set. The Utes would find some momentum in the late stages, taking a two-point lead 20-18, coming off back-to-back kills from Jardine and Gibadlo.
