SALT LAKE CITY – Utah Volleyball has announced the addition of Rianne Vos, who has been a multi-year member of the Dutch National Team. The outside hitter from the Netherlands joins the team as a graduate transfer after playing volleyball and earning her undergraduate degree at the University of Twente in her home country.
“We couldn’t be more excited to have Rianne join our program,” said head coach Beth Launiere. “She comes to Utah with a wealth of high-level international experience, a skill set that meets our needs, and is a tremendous athlete and person. As we got to know Rianne during the recruiting process, it became clear she was a perfect fit for the Utes!”
Bringing a wealth of international experience to Salt Lake City, Vos has trained with the Dutch National Team since she was 15 years old. Vos, the 5’11” outside hitter from Den Dolder, Netherlands, competed in two European Championships and two Western Europe Championships with her team. She also was a member of the winning club team (Apollo 8) in the Dutch League Cup in 2021.
Vos and her club team were also the runner ups in consecutive seasons at the national championship (Dutch Eredivisie) after placing second in 2020-21 and 2021-22. She finished in third place with her team at the 2022 Dutch Cup as well.
Vos graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biomedical technology at the University of Twente with a 3.85 grade point average.
