SALT LAKE CITY – University of Utah volleyball players Kamry Bailey, Kamryn Gibadlo, Allie Olsen and Rianne Vos have been named College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selections. This is the third year in a row that the Utes have placed four student-athletes on the Academic All-District list. It is also the third year in a row Bailey and Olsen have earned this award, while Gibadlo and Vos earn the achievement for the first time.
Bailey collects her third CSC Academic All-District honor to close out her career. The biomedical engineering major has maintained a 4.00 grade point average throughout her four seasons. Bailey started 27 of 31 matches, appearing in 100 sets throughout the season. The Boulder City, Nev. native, posted a season-high 12 kills against Colorado, recording double-digit kills three times. A dynamic hitter and passer, Bailey finished the season averaging 2.74 digs per set, ranking second on the team.
Gibadlo earns her first CSC Academic All-District award, as a kinesiology major with a 3.705 grade point average, adding to her list of achievements throughout the 2024 season. Coming off a unanimous All-Big 12 First Team selection, Gibadlo earns the first AVCA All-Region selection of her career. She led the Utah offense on multiple fronts with 22 double-digit kill matches, putting away 370 total kills and averaging 3.33 kills per set. In 22 matches against AVCA top-100 opponents, Gibadlo posted a .259 hitting percentage, averaging 3.49 kills per set. Gibadlo set a new career-high in kills multiple times this season, establishing her current mark on the road at Colorado with 20 kills. A threat from the service line, Gibadlo leads the Utes with 40 aces.
Olsen appears on the CSC Academic All-District list for the third time in three seasons. Olsen completes her degree in Family, Community, & Human Development with an emphasis in elementary education, posting a 3.936 grade point average. After earning her first all-conference honor, Olsen adds AVCA honorable mention to close out her time as a Ute. Finishing her run as the most efficient attacker in Utah history for both a single season and a career, compiling a .401 clip during the 2024 campaign and finishing with a career average of .357.
