CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia volleyball team (4-1) travels to Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, Md. this weekend to compete in the DMV Invitational. On Friday (Sept. 8), the Hoos take on Howard (3-3) at 6 p.m. in Burr Gymnasium before challenging Coastal Carolina (2-4) at noon on Saturday (Sept. 9) and UMBC (3-2) at 1 p.m. on Sunday (Sept. 10) from Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena.

SEASON OVERVIEW

- The Cavaliers earned their second straight five set victory this season over Old Dominion on Tuesday (Sept. 5) at Memorial Gymnasium.
- The Hoos were led offensively by Abby Tadder (15 kills, .414 hitting percentage) and Lauryn Bowie (18 kills, 54 attempts) while defensive specialist Kate Johnson chipped in a career-high 20 digs. Ashley Le finished with a double-double of 43 assists, 13 digs and career-high five aces.
