PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers head coach Caitlin Schweihofer has announced the addition of Ryan Mather as an assistant coach on her Scarlet Knight staff.
Mather arrives “On The Banks” after spending the 2022-23 season as an assistant at Lafayette College and earning a bronze medal as a member of the Texas Tyrants with the National Volleyball Association.
Prior to joining the coaching ranks, Mather played professionally around the globe. He earned MVP honors in the Volleyligaen of Denmark, including registering 45 points in one match, the most in Danish league history. Mather also brought home a gold medal in 2022, silver medal in 2021 and bronze medal in 2020 with the Las Vegas Ramblers. Additionally, he played in the Challenge Cup with Chev-Diekirch in Luxembourg and was a member of Akaa-Volley in Finland.
Mather graduated from Grand Canyon University with a degree in exercise science in 2015. He was a three-time all-conference honoree and three-time all-academic team member with the Lopes and also participated with the United States Junior National Training U21 Team.
