COLUMBIA, Mo. – The University of Missouri volleyball team announced Wednesday its 2023 schedule. The campaign features 15 regular-season home matches at the Hearnes Center including non-conference tournaments Aug. 25-27 and Sept. 1-3.
The 2023 Mizzou schedule is highlighted by 13 matchups against NCAA Tournament teams from the past season including 2022 NCAA Runner-ups Louisville.
Tiger fans can get their first look at the 2023 Mizzou volleyball team at the annual Black & Gold Scrimmage on Saturday, Aug. 12. Missouri will also host Iowa State in exhibition play on Saturday, Aug. 19.
The Tigers will commence the season with a pair of home tournaments Aug. 25-27 and Sept. 1-3. Missouri will face Illinois State, Central Arkansas, and Colgate over the first tourney before meetings with Northern Kentucky, South Dakota, and Louisville the second week of the season.
The Tigers will conclude non-conference play, heading to Cincinnati, Ohio, for the Xavier Tournament Sept. 8-9 before a two-match tilt at Eastern Illinois Sept. 14-15 in Charleston, Illinois. Mizzou will take on Buffalo, Bellarmine, and tournament host, Xavier, in “The Queen City” in the Tigers third non-conference tournament of the season before facing EIU.
The Tigers open league competition at Tennessee Sept. 20 in Knoxville.
Missouri will host South Carolina (Sept. 24), Kentucky (Oct. 6), Ole Miss (Oct. 15), Tennessee (Oct. 25), Mississippi State (Nov. 3), Georgia (Nov. 5), Texas A&M (Nov. 10), Auburn (Nov. 12), and Florida (Nov. 17) in conference action.
Mizzou will also have SEC road trips to LSU (Sept. 29), Texas A&M (Oct. 1), Arkansas (Oct. 8), Alabama (Oct. 11), Auburn (Oct. 20), Ole Miss (Oct. 29), Kentucky (Nov. 19) and Georgia (Nov. 25).
