Volleyball Announces Addition to 2023 Signing Class

RALEIGH – The NC State Volleyball team has added a fifth member to the 2023 signing class, as announced by head coach Luka Slabe Tuesday afternoon.

Mary Healy, an opposite from San Rafael, Calif., will join the Pack starting in fall 2023.

Slabe said, “We are happy to welcome Mary to our program. With Mary, we are adding depth to our opposite position. She brings with her the experience of spending a full semester as a member of a Canadian National Excellence Program.”

Healy played both basketball and volleyball in high school. She brings a number of accolades with her to Raleigh: second-team All-Marin County Athletic League for both sports, 2021 Fight Strength Unity Award for volleyball, 2022 Bulldog Award in basketball, volleyball and basketball MVP in 2020, and 2021 Bulldog Sailing Trophy winner.

Besides her accolades on the court, she also recorded a number in the classroom. Healy is a member of the French Honor Society and the California Scholastic Federation Honors Society.
