Volleyball Defeats Columbia College in Three Sets

Columbia, South Carolina- The Brenau volleyball team defeated Columbia (S.C.) College in three sets (25-18, 25-15, 25-18) in an Appalachian Athletic Conference road match on Saturday.

The Golden Tigers cruised through all three sets and outhit the host Koalas .274 to .093 to secure the team’s tenth victory of the season.

Reigning AAC hitter of the week Mary Ellen Enright led all hitters with 14 kills and also posted 8 digs, while junior Chloe Bennett added 9 kills and 4 digs. Senior Annabeth Vandiver and freshman Laila Reed also tallied seven kills each in the victory.

Setter Gabrielle Hogle had 33 assists and 8 digs and libero Julieanne Saliba held down a strong defensive effort with 14 digs.

Brenau (10-14 overall, 8-8 AAC) plays its final regular season home match against Reinhardt (Ga.) University (15-11 overall, 13-3 AAC) on Tuesday at 6:30 pm eastern.
